Inspiring people, teams, and organisations to realise and release their true potential, and develop their capacity and effectiveness as leaders in ways that are authentic both to who they are and who they aspire to become, has been an integral component of Mark’s life and career for more than 30 years.
As a successful business owner, and highly accomplished senior executive—including over a decade at Director and Managing Director level—Mark has played a hands-on role in the development of high performance cultures; nurtured and grown aspiring leaders across a range of industry sectors including technology, finance, manufacturing, and services; and provided guidance and mentoring to hundreds of senior executives, business owners, and directors.
He has worked in privately owned companies as both an employee and shareholder, as well as in large national and multi-national companies, including Dun & Bradstreet, 3M, Honeywell, and Recruiters Australia Limited.
In the world of sport, he’s coached and mentored elite basketball players at a national league level—including established and future Olympians—along the way helping them to achieve numerous individual and team accolades, including several national championships.
And for more than a decade and a half, through Be Sustained, he’s been applying the full depth and breadth of his business, leadership, and coaching/mentoring experience to assist both individuals and organisations in developing a more mindful approach to business, life, leadership, and organisational culture—enabling them to continually transform and transcend their current understanding, capabilities, and capacity, and build an even more constructive and impactful future.

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (with honours) from St. John’s University; is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; has an International Systemic Team Coaching Certificate from the Academy of Executive Coaching; is an accredited practitioner with both The Leadership Circle (LCP & CLA) and Human Synergistics Australia (LSI and GSI); and has successfully completed the Level 1 training pathway with the Mindfulness Training Institute of Australasia.
